EGR Operator Awards Released The Game Of The Year Award Shortlist
On November 23 2015 the Artillery Garden at the HAC will host the next EGR Operator Awards, a grand event on the online gaming industry calendar. There is one nomination there that does not exactly fit the “traditional” makeup of the Awards, the Game of the Year. This year, we see an impressive list of contestants there, all of them definitely deserving the attention they have received.
Shortlist of the nomination
The reason for including the games themselves into the operator awards is simple: they actually are the cornerstone of any internet casinos, any operator. There literally would be no online gaming industry, a source of excitement for many and real money some. So this nomination fits into the event well and naturally. This year, the nomination’s shortlist includes (in no particular order):
- MegaJackpots Cleopatra (IGT)
- Centurion (Inspired and William Hill)
- Jurassic Park (Microgaming)
- Spiñata Grande™ (NetEnt)
- GEMiX (Play’n GO)
- Crystal Queen (Quickspin)
- 6 Appeal (Realistic Games)
Not only revenue important for winning the EGR Operator Award
According to the experts and organizers of the EGR Operator Awards, the Game of the Year title does not simply go to the game that generates greatest revenue. Granted, revenue is one of the key factors, but the board considers a number of other aspects: innovation, marketing value, overall quality of the product to name a few. The board actually draws up the shortlist and the final vote is the job of all operators attending the awards. With such great titles on the list it will not be an easy win for any of them, so expect some neck to neck race at the event.
